Fall 2012

12 hours down and only 24 hours to go to have my Master’s in Christian Ministry from Liberty University.  This semester I have drawn back a bit because of the basketball ministry I am involved with at my church.  I am planning on taking 6 hours in these two classes:

DSMN 500 Discipleship Ministries
EVAN 565 Contemporary Evangelism

I was really excited until I went to the book list for the classes.  The price wasn’t an issue this time because all of them were fairly priced, but for only two classes I had to purchase 7 books. Here they are listed below:

- “Leading, Teaching, and Making Disciples: World-Class Christian Education in the Church, School and Home” (Mitchell, Dr. Michael R)
- “Growing True Disciples: New Strategies for Producing Genuine Followers of Christ” (Barna, George)
- “Church is a Team Sport: A Championship Strategy for Doing Ministry Together”
(Putman, Jim)
- “Fasting for Spiritual Breakthrough: A Guide to Nine Biblical Fasts”
(Elmer L. Towns)
- “The Emotionally Healthy Church: A Strategy for Discipleship That Actually Changes Lives”
(Scazzero, Peter)
- “The Great Commission to Worship: Biblical Principles for Worship-Based Evangelism”
(Wheeler, David)
- “The Crucified Life: How To Live Out A Deeper Christian Experience”
(Tozer, A.W)

They all should be a great read and hopefully I will review them one by one once I finish here.

God Bless,
